Your options for the best view

The racetrack in the village of Iffezheim is easily reached by car (there are plenty of parking spaces) or by public transport (regular buses from the train station in Baden-Baden). The nearest airport is the Baden Airpark at Rheinmuenster, which is only a few minutes away from Iffezheim.

Racing is open for everybody and good value for the family. General admission starts on 7 Euro for a normal day (11 Euro on a Sunday). Children under the age of 14 are free. With the “Sattelplatzkarte” you access to most of the area, including the paddock. There are plenty of possibilities to find a chair or a bench to relax for a few minutes. You can also go to the “Iffezheimer Tribuene” and the  “Kincsem-Turm” to sit and watch the races for free.

If you want a reserved seat you have several options:

Benazet-Tribuene: This is the new stand, which was built in 2004. You can choose a seat on the Club-Terrasse (either under an umbrella or in open air). Here you can real feel the special atmosphere of International racing at Baden-Baden. You will as close as possible to the race track. Tickets start from 29 Euro.

On the first floor there is the Badener Club-Restaurant – a pleasant salon with tables for six people (but obviously you can also just book one or two seats). You can dine here a la card and you have a perfect view for the races if you step outside. The “Wintergarden” is a good place to stroll around. But you can also reach the paddock within a short walking distance. If you are interested in the latest fashion, the “Gontard-Garten” next to the paddock is the place for you. Tickets start from 24 Euro.

If you are looking for the perfect day, maybe to entertain your friends or business partners, then you should book a table in the exclusive Champion’s Club. It’s located on the third floor and offers an all-inclusive-buffet of the highest standard. The Queen’s racing manager, Sir Michael Oswald, was full of praise, when he came to visit. “I had the best food ever on a race track”, he said. Seats start from 229 Euro, including food and drinks.

Grosse Sattelplatz-Tribuene: The old grandstand offers the best views over the race track and the Black Forest. The seats in the Schwarzwald-Terrasse are very popular amongst the regular racegoers. Without an early reservation you won’t have a chance. Tickets start from 33 Euro.

The Wein-Terrasse is a good alternative on the Sattelplatz-Tribuene. Tickets start from 29 Euro.

Right in the middle of the action are the Logenplaetze overlooking the finish line of the racetrack. These seats are very popular among race owners who can follow their horses and jump on to the track, in case their favourite has won. Seats start from 26 Euro. The Numerierter Platz behind the Logen cost 19 Euro on a normal racing day.

Oleander-Turm – This is a good option if you don’t want to spend too much money, but have a reserved seat and soak in the atmosphere. The tickets on the Oleander-Turm, which is roughly 150 Metres away from the finishing line, starts from 14 Euro.
