The racetrack at Iffezheim has been a lucrative hunting ground for Olivier Peslier this year. Four starts - four wins are his stats this year. After winning a Group race and a Listed race during the Grosse Woche in September he added two more wins on the opening day of the Festival. Swedish raider Alcohuaz took the Flieger-Preis (Listed race, 1.000m, 20.000 Euro) ahead of home-trained Best Joking. Omasheriff finished third. And the 17-year old pupil from Sonsbeck, Germany, Marian Falk Weissmeier became the youngest Fegentri Wordchampion Amateurrider ever. By finishing second in the last race - a steeplechase - he eclipsed Florent Guy from France, who won the Damen-Preis, a flat race over 2.400m.
